This episode is for you if you often find yourself riddled with guilt and shame based on what you've eaten, or if you feel like you have a love/hate relationship with food. You love food, but you HATE how bad you feel when you think you've eaten the "wrong" thing.

In this episode, Emily shares how she has transformed her relationship to food and overcome eating disorders by learning to fall in love with food - unconditionally and guilt free.

Our diet obsessed culture has taught us that food is something to be feared and "figured out". That we are not to be trusted around food, and that food is something that we are meant to control at all costs so that we can chase arbitrary and ever-changing standards of beauty at the expense of our mental health, self esteem, and quality of life.

When we learn to appreciate food in its entirety for what it can provide us not just physically, but also emotionally and relationally, we discover that it's our very fear of food that keeps us stuck in the cycle of hyper-obsessive control followed by complete self abandonment. We learn that by allowing ourselves to appreciate food and the variety and novelty that it adds to our lives, we can harness it's power for what it's intended for - true nourishment on every level.
